The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has expanded its team with the appointment of a new head of training and a new technical officer.
Phil Brownhill has been appointed head of training to establish the ASFP’s extensive new training programme, which is scheduled for launch in March 2018.
On his appointment, Brownhill said: “I am delighted to have joined the ASFP team at this pivotal time. The Association’s new training initiative will significantly raise the bar and improve understanding of passive fire protection for all involved in the built environment, as well as improving the quality of installed systems.”
Andrew Taylor has been appointed technical officer to continue the association’s vital role in developing industry guidance and promoting best practice.
On joining the ASFP team, Taylor said: “I very much look forward to working with ASFP members through our Technical Task Groups and with other industry stakeholders to ensure the Association can continue to influence policy, respond to changing standards and create essential technical guidance.”
