Colliers hires head of ESG

Andy Mercer, Colliers [square]Commercial property adviser Colliers has appointed Andy Mercer as head of ESG in property management for the UK and EMEA.  

Mercer joins from JLL, where he worked with landlords and investors as head of energy services to improve the long-term value of real estate investments and mitigate the risks associated with climate change through sustainable strategy development and implementation.

In his new role he will be head of ESG for the UK and EMEA within the property management team working with Andy Hay, managing director of property management in EMEA, and Mark Jarrett, head of property management in the UK.

Mercer said: “My ambition is to help guide the property sector in reducing its climate impact by focusing on the economic benefits of delivering sustainable strategies and carbon reduction initiatives. I am excited to be joining Colliers at this pivotal time to work with property management clients to improve the long term value of their assets and the wider impact on the environment.
