Compass Scotland appoints Emily Robinson as nutrition & sustainability lead

Emily Robinson  [square]Compass Scotland has appointed Emily Robinson as senior nutritionist and sustainability lead – a new role in the business. 

A registered nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, Robinson has worked for Compass Group UK & Ireland for three years, first as regional engagement manager and nutritionist for Compass’s education subsidiary, Chartwells UK in the South of England, before becoming regional nutritionist in 2020. 

Before joining the company, she was an associate nutritionist for organisations including the British Nutrition Foundation.

Robinson will offer support for the Chartwells schools in Scotland to deliver Beyond the Chartwells Kitchen food, a nutrition and sustainability education programme for young people aged four to 18 years old. 

Working with the central nutrition team,and the culinary team, she will develop a wider strategy to incorporate and develop a Scotland-centric approach, as well as supporting the food offer with her knowledge of Scottish law on food and nutrition.

David Hay, managing director of Compass Scotland, said: “We are focused on delivering our health and wellbeing and sustainability agendas, and Emily will be ensuring a companywide strategy specifically for our Scottish portfolio.”

Robinson added: “My aim is to gain a clear vision on what our clients and customers are looking for when it comes to wellbeing and sustainability, as well as an understanding of the focus and anticipated actions of the Scottish Government.”
