Cordant Security hires risk and resilience director

David McCann Cordant Security has appointed David McCann risk and resilience director.

McCann will oversee and mitigate the risk and resilience requirements for the company and its clients.

He joins from First Security Guards where he was head of risk working on the firm's contract with the BBC. He directed all security and risk management processes, including legal governance of risk documents and protocols.

He also served as a counter terrorism advisor for corporate contingency planning and was the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) lead for company risk.

McCann said: “My duties will include supporting clients by carrying out full bespoke security risk assessments of their buildings, chairing the Security Risk Assessment Group (SRAG) meeting, and monitoring security horizon issues, such as protests or terrorism events.”
