First Response Group appoints new COO and HR director

Leeds-based security, risk and facilities management business First Response Group (FRG) has strengthened its senior team by appointing Mark Mansfield as chief operating officer and Sheila Sloan as director of human resources.

Mansfield brings to his new role extensive knowledge of operational strategy and leadership, honed across the waste industry in both private and public sectors, most recently at AWM Ltd. He will lead the company’s business operations, focusing on developing management practices and introducing changes that will use the latest technology and methods to improve efficiencies to transform the customer experience.

Sloan, who was previously at Stanley Black and Decker, has more than 20 years’ experience in B2B manufacturing and security. Her new role will encompass all aspects of HR including employee relations, reward and recognition, employee engagement, and recruitment and retention.
Both will report to FRG CEO Simon Alderson.
