HEVAC appoints vice president

Alan Macklin has been appointed as the new vice-president of HEVAC, the trade association for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

Macklin is a group technical director at Elta Group and chairman of the Fan Manufacturers Association since 2016. He is a fan engineer with a 41-year career in the ventilation industry, having broad experience in residential, commercial, industrial, mining and AHU sectors.

Macklin said: “The importance of good-quality indoor air is very much in the spotlight and HEVAC will play a crucial part in ensuring our indoor spaces provide a clean and healthy environment. I hope my years of industry experience will help HEVAC’s member companies remain at the heart of shaping industry for the future.”
