Johnson Controls appoints new vice-president
Global sustainable buildings specialist Johnson Controls has named Rodney Clark as vice-president and chief commercial officer.
Taking up the role from 1 June, Clark will head global sales across the Cork-based company, replacing chief commercial officer, Brian Young, who retired at the end of last year. He will also take on part of the role being transitioned from executive vice-president, chief customer and digital officer Michael Ellis, who is due to retire at the end of this year.
Clark was previously corporate vice-president of global partner sales and channel chief at Microsoft, where he led a team responsible for customer and partner relationships. Before this, he served as the corporate vice-president of the Internet of Things (IoT), responsible for building intelligent systems and mixed reality capability. Before his time at Microsoft, he spent eight years at IBM.
During his career, Clark has held several roles in strategy, sales, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and digital transformation. He has a BSc in marketing from California State University.
