Julian Allen joins CBRE to lead real estate investment banking in EMEA

CBRE Capital Advisors has appointed Julian Allen as an executive director and head of real estate investment banking across EMEA.

Allen was previously at Citigroup, where he had been managing director and head of the EMEA Real Estate and Lodging Group since 2014. He has worked for more than 20 years in real estate corporate finance in London and New York and has acted as a mergers and acquisitions adviser on several high-profile transactions. He has considerable capital markets experience – having raised at least $50 billion of equity and debt financing for clients across more than 100 transactions as well as managing a wide variety of IPO transactions.

He will start the role in September, succeeding Tim Ryan, and will lead the continued expansion of CBRE’s real estate investment banking team across EMEA, working with Benjamin Rouah, head of real estate investment banking in continental Europe, focusing particularly on M&A and other corporate finance opportunities. He will also have executive responsibility for CBRE’s Equity Placement and PropertyMatch businesses in the UK.
