McGill appoints Sharon Craig as finance director

Sharon Craig [square]Scottish building services and construction contractor McGill has hired Sharon Craig as finance director to further strengthen the board as the business continues to grow. 

Craig will take on responsibility for supporting the continued rapid and profitable growth of the business.

McGill, which is continuing to solidify its position as a strong mid-tier contractor in the north-east of Scotland, operating right across the country, has bolstered the top team in recent months in response to rapid and significant growth of the business. 

Craig joins recent recruit Douglas Smith, commercial director, who has been in position since April.

She is an experienced financial and commercial leader, having held the same position with global aquaculture technology company Ace Aquatec, and previously worked in several financial and commercial roles within established local companies Insights and YoYo Games.

McGill managing director Errol Lawrie said: “Sharon is not only an experienced financial director; her commercial insight and understanding will support our team as we continue to win more complex and challenging contracts throughout Scotland.”

Craig added: “McGill is a company with a long history in the region and I am proud and delighted to be joining the team. It is exciting to join McGill, which is part of the United Capital family at this time and I am looking forward to supporting the team to achieve our ambitious goals.”
