Serco Group announces two new hires

Serco Group, an international provider of services to governments, has announced two new appointments to its executive committee, effective immediately.

Gillian Duggan is appointed chief people and culture officer. She brings experience in leading people and operational teams across industries including aviation, engineering and infrastructure services, design and manufacturing. Her previous roles have involved the public sector as well as listed and private equity-owned businesses.

Ruth McGowan joins as chief strategy and growth officer. Having worked in consultancy, private equity, FMCG and health businesses, McGowan brings “extensive” experience in scaling global operations, revenue growth and cost efficiencies.

Duggan and McGowan will both report directly to Mark Irwin, the group’s CEO.
