Tony Aston joins security institute board

The Security Institute has welcomed Validation Board (VB) vice-chairman Tony Aston to its board. 

Aston sits on the board with 27 years' experience as a police officer and a long career in the UK defence industry, which started in 1996, when he joined the government defence contractor now known as Thales UK under the List X umbrella.

Of his appointment Aston said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve on the Security Institute's board of directors. I have always been keen to contribute in a variety of ways to the institute and, as a new director, I look forward to working with my board colleagues and members alike to address the opportunities ahead of us and help shape and manage the future of our association.”
