Your new role
You will report to the Assistant Director - Project Mobilisation, leading the provision of technical support and advice to capital project teams in respect of engineering infrastructure standards, design, specification installation and handover to effective operation and maintenance.

As an intelligent client you will lead, design, develop and continuously review technical infrastructure transition, development and implementation on projects, acquisitions and major changes. You will be liaising and working collaboratively with Project Management teams, Estates Engineers, Sustainability Managers, Developers, Contractors and Consultants to provide technical advice and support. You will ensure the appropriate interpretation and application of design briefs/technical standards and contribute to feasibility reports.

You will lead the resolution of project design challenges in respect of major engineering/infrastructure installations, replacements, refurbishments etc. including planning, capacities, and risk/impact assessments on building services systems and infrastructure as well as identify and mitigate risk and participate in the approval process.

You will be responsible for providing a focal point for the coordination and management of project related service disruptions, including communication with relevant stakeholders. In addition to this you will lead, develop and manage systems and procedures to measure, monitor and report on handover and transition. You will be managing a team of three: Transition Engineer, Clerk of Works and a Standardisation Manager and direct/ instruct the other technical/engineering staff assigned to specific projects from time to time.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a Chartered Engineer experienced in Project Management and Mobilisation of complex engineering infrastructure with thorough understanding of the Facilities and Maintenance Management environment. You must be H&S qualified (IOSH or NEBOSH).
You must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You need to demonstrate strong planning, problem solving and negotiating abilities plus advanced analytical skills to be able to interpret complex technical documents, drawings and manuals. You will be a confident user of CAFM, CAD and planned maintenance systems.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of circa £60,000 per annum plus an attractive benefits package including 27 days annual leave plus six closure days (at Christmas and Easter) as well as Bank Holidays and generous pension contribution.
