Your new company
Operating as a charity my client is responsible for the running and upkeep of some of the most famous buildings in the UK&I. Dealing not only with a high volume of tourists, their sites also hold memorials and events for the state & government on a regular basis.
Your new role
You will be working for arguably their most high profile and prestigious site based in the heart of London, they are looking to recruit a Deputy head of Maintenance reporting directly to and deputising in the absence of the Head of Maintenance and Facilities.
You will be required to manage the M&E maintenance of the site on a daily basis with particular consideration to aspects ranging from conservation, presentation and environmental standards.
A large focus of the role will be managing the onsite contractors, ensuring they are adhering to the SLA's and KPI's, being able to use your M&E knowledge to ensure all works carried out meet the clients expectations.
Planning strategic upgrade and improvements plans for their maintenance programme, project manage with a strong M&E input small maintenance, upgrade works and exhibition installations.
Leading the team and effectively managing projects from their inception to completion from preparing business cases, liaison with other departments and stakeholders to obtain approvals, preparing budgets and risk analysis.
Responsible for the compliance of M&E services, plant and equipment in accordance with current H&S and the clients own procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
A strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical services, from maintenance programmes through to small scale project management. You will need to hold a Degree/HND or equivalent in a relevant electrical or mechanical field.
Past experience of managing maintenance and projects is essential, performing these operations on listed buildings is desirable.
The ideal candidate will be working towards or have obtained chartered status. (MIEE / MIMechE)
What you'll get in return
An annual salary of £56000 - group pension scheme, annual leave entitlement starting at 25days + Bank Holidays. Any days worked outside of normal working hours will be returned as days in lieu.
