A large NHS organisation is currently seeking a very capable individual for a period of 6 months in the role of Property Services Officer. 

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supporting on Land & Property Management as primary role; 
  • Review of Land and Property information, development of database to control all lease and licence agreements; 
  • Liaison with NHS Property team / surveyors who will be supporting the organisation with professional advice and services; 
  • Ongoing activity to update all lease and licence agreements to include room occupation surveys, liaising with GP practices to agree Service Charges and rental payments; 
  • Liaising with Finance Department to create a cost code for all leased property, also ongoing monitoring of property and lease costs; 
  • Responsible for all administration relating to land and property matters. Ensuring all legal agreements are updated and kept in suitable storage; 
  • Liaising with solicitors, District Valuer, Valuation Agents and other organisations on all legal aspects of Estates Land and Property transactions; Update of property business rates and council tax spreadsheet in conjunction with Finance Dept. Oversee all business rates and council tax appeals; 
  • Support work outputs to utilise information from 5 Facet Survey to create improved data about space occupation for the organisation; 
  • Support SMT in the management of the Property and Accommodation Group with cross-organisational monthly meetings to review space allocation, introduce agile working, furniture allocation, etc.; 
  • Support the SMT in the management of Primary Care bi-monthly meetings with Estates which involves activity related to GP Practices, particularly where these may revert to organisation’s management remit and clarification of roles and responsibilities relating to the transfer as well as routine ongoing license and lease activity; 
A successful candidate will have:
  • Background with Property specialism and able to work with minimal supervision; 
  • Ability to function under pressure as part of a team and meet strict deadlines when required;
  • Proven track record of developing systems and to create databases and provide reports where necessary. Good knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel required;
  • Ability to schedule and prioritise workload and additional projects.
