About the role

In this crucial and challenging role, you’ll balance the needs and interests of all of our councils as you take direct responsibility for the operational delivery of our £20m Total Facilities Management contract. This will involve overseeing and monitoring service providers to ensure that contracts are effectively delivered and provide high quality, value for money services across: Soft services (catering, security, cleaning, reception services, porterage, mailroom and printing services etc) and Hard services (mechanical, electrical, fabric, minor works, forward maintenance plan etc).

Planning regular reviews and performance meetings with service providers, identifying, defining and solving problems, and implementing contractor strategies to ensure ongoing service excellence will all be part of your busy remit.

About you

To succeed you’ll need experience in both Hard and Soft FM together with knowledge of estate statutory and mandatory requirements and:

  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
  • The ability to create and forge relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience of contract management.
  • Experience of running multi-discipline teams, driving efficiencies and developing, implementing and monitoring performance improvement programmes.
  • Strong and effective communication and influencing skills and capabilities.
