Basic Salary of £70,000 - £80,000 (negotiable) plus package

A global well known company is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their expanding team.
This organisation is a top FM, building solutions and construction company who provide sustainable, tailor made solutions to the FM and BS industry. They have partnerships with high profile public and corporate estates, as well as local authority, education and retail. As they are a global company they can draw on a wealth of experience to provide solutions for most FM/BS problems with great internal opportunities.
The Commercial Manager will be given the opportunity to take a leading role in the delivery of a variety of projects. In this role you will cover a full range of commercial duties including providing progress reports and cost plans to the wider business and to the clients. You will be responsible for managing relationships with clients and developing relationships with suppliers. This role has a heavy focus on detailed and accurate reporting so the successful candidate should be a data driven professional with the ability to provide clear information to the senior management team. You will be consistently implementing best commercial practice through production of applications for payment, cost plans, dealing with sub-contractors, risk management and providing valuation of change expertise.
We are looking for a person with proven experience within the facilities and project sector with over 6 years Commercial Management experience. It would be beneficial if you had some Project Management and public sector experience. This will allow you to hit the ground running and advise solutions efficiently and effectively.
You will be required to have the following:
- Quantity Surveying qualification to HND/HNC standard (or similar)
- At least 6 years working within the facilities and projects sector as a Commercial Manager
- Proven experience in managing direct teams and sub-contractors to deliver high standards
- Extensive knowledge and experience of building services, tendering, contracts and projects
- Able to manage commercial arrangements with suppliers and contractors
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships and expectations
- Strong financial acumen
- Public sector and PFI experience
