We are looking for a Deputy Centre Manager to assist the Centre Director in the overall smooth running of a large shopping centre. The successful candidate will be experienced in operational Shopping Centre Management, having overseen both hard and soft Facilities Management. Strong budget and service charge management is also essential. The Role
  • Manage, market and operate the Centre to the very highest of professional standards.
  • Develop and manage the on-site budgets, delivering a sustainable service.
  • Ensure the Centre is maintained to an excellent standard and contractors are carrying out their work to an appropriate standard.
  • Manage Health & Safety for the site, ensuring all H&S regulations are complied with.
  • Be a face of the Centre within the local community and to develop strong community links.
  • Assist the Management team to achieve the objectives as specified in the Centre business plan and develop excellent lines of communication with all fellow Management staff, the retailers, contractors and customers and the owner of the Centre.
  • Attend all Management Meetings and any other meeting as requested by the Centre Director, Asset Manager / Landlord.
  • Assist with the day to day management of the car parks ensuring accurate recording of income data, usage and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service are provided at all times.


    • Experience in the management of security, cleaning and maintenance staff and contractor relationship management.
    • Experience in setting up and administration of detailed record keeping systems.
    • Knowledge and/ or experience managing services to an agreed budget.
    • Working knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation is essential. IOSH or NEBOSH desirable.
    • Relevant degree or professional qualification is desirable, as is a Diploma in Shopping Centre Management.
    • Operational experience at supervisory or managerial level within the Leisure and Retail sector, or at an attraction visited by members of the public.
