A leading public sector organisation in Central London are looking for an Assistant Building Services Manager to assist with the delivery of their Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning maintenance contracts. This organisation has a diverse and complex estates portfolio which consists of both old and new buildings.  

The main aspect of the role will be focussed on the contract management of planned and reactive maintenance across the portfolio, there will also be some responsibility for the management of small works projects.


  • To assist with the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a large estate’s portfolio.
  • Contract management of service providers, including the monitoring of SLAs and KPIs.
  • To respond as necessary to manage, fault find and resolve any reported breakdowns or technical issues.
  • Plan and prioritise reactive maintenance problems.
  • Assist in the procurement of equipment and contractor services.
  • Conduct inspections, surveys and risk assessments to ensure statutory compliance has been met.

The candidate for this role will hold a formal HVAC qualification, as well as having experience of working a HVAC Engineer, delivering maintenance programmes within a complex and critical environment. Knowledge and understanding of BMS systems would also be extremely desirable.

The role will be offered on an initial 6-month interim period with the opportunity to apply for a permanent position.
