The Role

Reporting into a Business Unit Director for EMEA you will be responsible for a client who are a global logistics & distribution business. As the Account Director you will oversee an FM engineering contract managing multiple locations across the EMEA region. These are predominantly very large warehouses with a great deal of automation on site and the contract looks after about 5 million square feet presently with a huge potential for growth into other regions. Operating from a UK base you will need to be able to travel internationally when required to manage the contract and team of direct reports. The global logistics business who are your end client are the number one in their market and are keen to keep this position and therefore expect innovation and excellent customer service across their 24/7 operation.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of engineering in an FM environment. You don't need to have a specific technical qualification but the understanding to manage a team and be able to communicate to the client effectively is essential. TFM backgrounds will be considered as well. Due to the type of contract you will be working on, experience of a similar client or industry is preferred such as retail, manufacturing, industrial and ideally logistics/distribution. This is not a contract looking after corporate offices but large distribution centres and warehouses so there must be a synergy with this in terms of your experience. This is an international role and so you can be based anywhere in the UK but need to be near to a main airport that has flights to the EMEA region. Experience of managing FM engineering teams is essential along with the communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders on the contract.
