Your new organisation are one of the leading Integrated Facilities Management organisations and are looking for a Technical Engineer to join their team. The team are currently growing due to winning more business within their division. The organisation embrace new thinking and technologies to help their clients and colleagues change the way the live and work.
Your new role
As a Technical Engineer you will lead a small team and work with the wider business development team to develop a prime cost model and project life cost plan for Hard, Soft & IFM bids from first principles and market benchmarks. You will manage commercial activities with a high degree of acumen whilst identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process. You will lead on small to mid-size projects and assist on more lager complex projects. You will prepare ground up costs for tender submissions including; labour loading, comprehensive cost modelling, Eli data analysis, subcontractor management and completion of client cost models. You will also undertake cost analysis for facilities management and life cycle works, visit sites as necessary to compile accurate tender proposals. You will advise on maintenance, repairs and refurbishment techniques to minimise future maintenance risk, contributing to the creation of method statements and other documentation to support bid submissions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in successful estimating and working within the Facilities Management industry. You will be able to demonstrate leadership of senior teams. You will have proven experience in a technical/engineering role. You will have the ability to present proposals internally and externally in a professional manner. It is important that you have knowledge of the industry standard maintenance specifications for example SFG20, CIBSE, BSIRA, BIFM.
