HCC Property Services is a significant in-house public service business.  We are a forward-thinking organisation with a national reputation for delivery, design, asset management and construction procurement.  The service supports Hampshire County Council and other public sector clients delivering major projects and programmes as well as the management of thousands of properties and land assets.  We are going through a period of transformation introducing a new operating model, restructuring the business, introducing new digital platforms and actively seeking new business opportunities.  It is the perfect time for ambitious and committed leaders to join us.

If you can demonstrate strong operational and people management skills, as well as real commercial acumen, why not help us to deliver best-in-class soft facilities management services?

We provide services for Hampshire County Council, Police and Fire Services so you'll be leading an FM team covering a portfolio that includes headquarters, offices and operational assets.  As a professional with a high level of personal credibility, you’ll take the lead in a number of varied areas including workspace, premises and event management and corporate print and document services. We’ll also expect you to work proactively with your peers to deliver fully integrated services for our customers and play an active role on our Property Services Leadership Team, helping to plan, manage and review our operations.

There is a large staff management responsibility associated with the role – over 100 directly employed staff will ultimately report to you – so strong people management skills are absolutely essential. Ideally a member of the BIFM, you’ll have extensive experience of delivering frontline services and will be comfortable managing customer relationships in a complex multi-organisational political environment.

You’ll be commercially aware and have experience of managing significant operational budgets and suppliers.  A proven track record in successfully managing change to meet evolving organisational needs and priorities will be essential alongside the ability to exploit digital technology and new ways of working to deliver efficiencies and modernise service delivery.

Stake your claim on a role that offers real variety.
