Business Development Manager – Midlands

Location: Birmingham (near the Jewelry Quarter)

Salary: £29K per annum + uncapped bonus scheme + pension + 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)

In Europe we are the market leader in (vacant) property management and property development. We operate from offices in 7 different countries and we will add two more countries in 2018! Our operations run via 4 business units: Property Management, HighTech-security services, Property Development and Maintenance Services.

We are working hard on managing the growth of our UK organisation and we are looking for Business Development Manager to cover the Midlands. You will join a team of young professionals of property managers, guardian managers, quality assurance staff and sales staff. For us it is all about Work Hard & Play hard.

Our ideal candidate:

You are required to have a strong sales background, ideally in property or facilities management, and a ‘hands on approach’ with which you are able to realise substantial results.  Camelot strongly believes in realising growth through maximizing your potential, so if you bring in the results, your opportunities here are endless.  Training is provided to ensure you know the specifics of our sector and internal processes.


  • Finding sales opportunities in and around the Midlands
  • Follow up on leads and sales inquiries
  • Building excellent relationships with potential clients
  • Write client proposals and negotiate to a successful conclusion
  • Collaborating with the Operations team to arrange the take on of new properties
  • Recording daily sales activities and client information using Salesforce
  • Run salesforce campaigns for prospects and clients
  • Plan meetings with potential clients to sell the company’s products and solutions
  • Attend networking events and exhibitions


Office based, with regular travel to meet with prospective clients

Office hours: 8:30 am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum of 1 year sales background
  • Have a positive, confident and ambitious attitude.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Live within easy commute of our London Office
  • Have a UK driving licence and preferably a car.
  • Good IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Salesforce is desirable
  • Experience in drafting concise and legally binding contracts and offer letters
