An educational institution in London is looking to appoint an Interim Assistant Director of Estates – Infrastructure and Maintenance. The role is responsible for the strategic delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and small works projects across a diverse estates portfolio.

Reporting to the Director of Estates, the Interim Assistant Director of Estates is a key leadership position responsible for leading the estates operations which cover all aspects of M&E / building fabric planned and reactive maintenance, renewals and minor works. This role will manage the long-term strategic planning of maintenance alongside accountability for leading the delivery of a flexible, efficient and safe building services function to meet operational requirements.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in the management of building services and fabric maintenance at a senior level, ideally within a public sector organisation. Strong leadership and contract management skills are essential, you will be adept in the regular review of team performance and contracts ensuring value for money in addition to efficient operational delivery.

This is an interim appointment that is expected to last for approximately 6 months whilst they recruit permanently, however the interim would also be encouraged to apply for the permanent position.
