A proven Senior Facilities Manager to join one of the largest FM providers in the UK, based in Southampton.

Sectors include defence, life science, professional services, high-tech manufacturing, public and utilities.

The core facilities management services include: mechanical and electrical engineering, information technology (IT), reactive building maintenance, special projects, hard and soft services.

Your new role

As Senior Facilities Manager, you will report to the Account Manager for a key client of the business. Your role is primarily responsible for Hard Facilities Management, ensuring compliance with the agreement between the company and the client for the delivery of Engineering Services Maintenance and Facilities Services at their site.

Main responsibilities:

The operational management and development of all scoped works and tasks through effective and efficient use and control of resources. The performance, initiatives and achievements emanating from these aims are to be effectively recorded and communicated to the company and the clients management.

Working hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday (40 hours - 1 hour lunch). This role could require occasional travel so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential. You may also need to visit the London office, but this is rare and train travel will be pre-booked via the travel desk.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have proven experience of operations management in a Hard Services FM environment, with a technical background, ideally electrically or mechanically biased.

You will need a 'hands on' approach and must have managed a team (supervisors in this role), with exceptional presenting and communication skills. A BIFM qualification is desirable, but not essential (British Institute of Facilities Management).
