Estates & Contracts Officer

Up to £32,000 + generous benefits package

Based at Culham, Oxfordshire

Take on varied estates projects for a unique policing service

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Our vision is to be recognised as a provider of a world-class service for the protection of nuclear material and facilities. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals to our high-performing team.  As our Estates & Contracts Officer, you’ll be leading varied projects for an organisation that’s helping to keep the country safe.

Joining a busy and motivated team, you’ll help to manage CNC’s sites across the UK. Your main task will be to manage contracts, using your expertise to scope and evaluate each one. You’ll also handle estates projects and procure various services for sites across the South.

Day to day, you’ll be programming essential works, assessing quotations and managing contractors. With value for money a key factor, it’s important that you observe procurement guidelines as well as Health & Safety regulations and the sustainability agenda.

To join us, you’ll need proven experience in facilities and contracts administration. You should be used to negotiating and managing contracts, reviewing service level agreements, carrying out risk assessments and managing projects. With this background, you’ll be adept at decision-making and balancing a busy workload. You’ll also have the IT skills to create professional documents and analyze data.

With natural talent for clear communication too, you’ll be ready to work with a wide range of people.

If you aren’t a member of a professional organisation (e.g. CIPS, RICS, NEBOSH) already, you should be willing to work towards this.
