Make this brand new role your own, as you set and drive strategy on estates and facilities management for a top performing Multi-Academy Trust.

Us

Already one of the country’s top performing Multi-Academy Trusts, the City of London Academies Trust is driven by the ambition to be the best. With schools in North, East and South London, the Trust aims to ensure that all schools are recognised as Outstanding within three years of joining and to provide a high-quality education for all its students. This ambition also extends to our estates and facilities, as providing an outstanding environment for learning is vital to our students’ success.

Reporting to the Trust’s Chief Financial Officer based at the Guildhall in the City of London, the Director of Estates and Facilities Management is a brand new, key leadership position responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the estate and its facilities management service. This role will provide a professional focus for the full range of building and property related works.

You

Dynamic and motivational, you will be setting and driving strategy on estates and facilities management, reviewing and setting policies across the Trust and ensuring that outcomes are consistent and compliant. You will possess a proven track record in senior level management of building services and fabric maintenance, as well as leading complex projects and procurement, ideally within a public sector organisation. Strong leadership and contract management skills are essential; you will be adept in the regular review of team performance and contracts ensuring value for money in addition to efficient operational delivery.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for the successful candidate.

Completed application forms with accompanying letters of application and a signed candidate privacy statement should be emailed to colat.jobs@cityoflondon.gov.uk by the closing date.

Closing date: Monday 4 February, 12 noon. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 13 February.
