About the Client:

My client is a provider of purpose-built student accommodation with a significant portfolio throughout the UK, providing high quality living space.

They are committed to further expansion through a mixture of optimization of the existing estate, acquisition, and new build properties.

As a result of this growth and expansion my client requires an experience building fabric support manager to join the small and focussed property team.

The role is based from the HQ in London but works on a national basis.

Role

To provide technical building fabric related advice and management of related projects/works.

The role provides central support to optimally deliver works across a national portfolio of purpose built student accommodation sites.

 Key Roles & Responsibilities

· Identify, co-ordinate and implement/manage maintenance and refurbishment of assets

· Conduct defects diagnosis inspections and manage subsequent repair works

· Prepare and manage planned preventative maintenance plans

· Appoint and manage project teams

· Manage external professional consultants and contractors

· effectively manage budgets and complete projects safely and on time

· Monitor performance of external consultants

· Prepare regular monthly reports

· Manage programme of works against cost/quality and time criteria Role Scope:

The person

Experienced in the construction industry with detailed understanding of all trades and professional team requirements.

Professionally qualified with a building construction related degree or substantial relevant experience

Be able to demonstrate management of external/internal teams and a knowledge of H&S

Knowledge of material technology, durability and lifecycle Experience & Skills Essential
