This client side Technical Facilities Manager position has been created with a view of achieving a more strategic and comprehensive approach to the management of hard services across our client's estate.
Client Details
Our client is highly respected institution based out of the South West region of England.
Description
This is a newly created role which will involve bringing together a team of multi skilled staff including electricians, plumbers and carpenters for which you will be managing. The team are responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance across the entire estate as well as the running of small projects.
You will need to ensure that the estates team has effective maintenance programmes in place and project managing any maintenance projects that run to ensure that these projects are ran efficiently from both a time frame and financial perspective.
A new CAFM system is in the process of being implemented and you will play a big part in the role out of this system and overseeing the an effective implementation and use of the system.
You will also be tasked with improving the customer service element and approach of the estates team to ensure a cohesive and collaborative working relationship with the wider business. This will involve monitoring KPI's and prioritising how jobs are actioned.
The team that you will be managing is a 20 strong team and as any management role should involve you will have day to day contact with a team who will be looking for support from you in terms of day to day performance delivery but also to help develop their own careers.
Profile
To be considered for this role our client would like applicants to be able to demonstrate a solid background of managing a team of multi skilled engineers/hard services FM team.
It would be advantageous to be educated to degree level and to hold a qualification such as MCIOB or RICS.
Health and Safety qualifications would also be advantageous.
The role is based in Somerset so ideally you will live in or around the Bristol/Bath/Swindon areas.
