National Sales / Operations Manager

Our client is a privately owned medium sized engineering provider that has been heavily involved in the Air Conditioning industry for 30 years. It has historically worked in sectors that include commercial, banking, critical, retail, high-end residential and the public sector. It carries out design to contract, installation and handover. It also has a services department which it aims to grow in 2019. As a result, it is looking to hire a National Sales / Operations Manager.

As the National Sales / Operations Manager, you will be tasked with running the current services department which is at circa £500k, the other part of your role will be to grow this department via pitching and winning new business. The role is 60% business development 40% operational.

The successful National Sales / Operations Manager will have a proven track record in growing contracts and winning new business. You must be commercially astute and be able to run a P&L, put together quotes, negotiate rates and terms and identify opportunities for growth. Operationally, the National Sales / Operations Manager must have strong leadership skills in order to lead and motivate his / her services team. In addition, you will also have strong client relationship building skills.
