Estates Manager (18 month FTC)
Our client a leading, national provider of student accommodation is recruiting an Estates Manager for their London Region.
With management responsibility for 4 supervisors and a team of around 30 operatives (mechanical, electrical, fabric engineers and tradesmen) across 26 properties of mixed age, totaling 10,000 beds, we need a highly experienced 'man' manager and organizer.
An in-house role, you will be providing planned and reactive maintenance ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our customers. Responsible for the development and management of your team and budgets whilst always ensuring safe, compliant and efficient buildings.
This is initially a 18 month contract to cover maternity leave, however there is a strong possibility of a permanent role within the business thereafter.
The ideal candidate will have extensive estates experience within the student accommodation, university or similar sectors. An engineering background is preferred but not essential. Estates Management experience with the ability to lead, manage, support, develop and inspire a multi-site team is essential. You will have an in-depth knowledge of statutory building compliance regulations and legislation as well as Health & Safety.
This opportunity is initially an 18 month fixed term contract with the potential to go permanent.
In return our client can offer a salary of c£50k plus £5k travel allowance, up to 10% bonus and generous pension.
