Leading University seeking Energy Officer to join their Estates team
My client is one of the leading Universities on the South Coast and one of the top in the UK for attracting overseas students. They are looking for an exceptional individual for the position of Energy Officer to work in the Sustainability Team.
You will be responsible for strategy setting of the Building Management System and all operations of the metering and Automatic Meter Reporting systems. Undertake analysis on key strategic projects in order to support the delivery of energy, water and carbon solutions that implement the University's Vision and Strategic Plans and meet business requirements.
Reporting to the Energy Manager, you will primarily focus on Building Optimisation and leading the definition of business requirements through data analysis and turning these requirements into deliverable and appropriate energy, water and carbon saving solutions.
Your work will directly impact on the predicted £21M utility and carbon budget to 2025. You will be responsible for helping to introduce an energy management system to the ISO50001 standard and support the wider work of the Sustainability Team. You will engage with stakeholders throughout the University to create an energy and water saving culture.
You should be qualified to a minimum degree level in an appropriate discipline. You will work closely with the Energy Manager, the Sustainability Team and Estates colleagues to help deliver the Carbon Management Plan and optimise existing building performance. You will have experience of managing Building Management Systems, Meter networks and experience of developing and implementing a range of energy, water, carbon and sustainability initiatives.
You will be self-motivated and take the initiative to get things done. You will be a confident individual with excellent communication and IT skills.
