Housing Environmental officer

Housing Environmental Officer - HHSRS 3 days per week , 4- month contract

Shared Service ( Environmental Services) across two local authorities whose role is to inspect and investigate Houses in Multiple Occupation.

You will undertake inspections of houses in Multiple occupation (HMO) using the HHSRS to identify disrepair, means of escape. Checking license documentation is in line with legislative requirements and to take action to ensure compliance with legal and best practice in relation to housing standards.

You will need to have an emphasis on environmental health, so compliance with Gas and carbon monoxide
regulations is essential, along with a passion to promote the safety and health of residents by improving their environment.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of dealing with HMO's and housing environmental health enforcement. It is essential
that you hold the HHSRS qualification.

This contract is for 3 days per week and will be for between 4-6 months on a temporary contract.
