The Role

The company is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager at the flagship building for their key banking client. Managing a maintenance team in a critical investment banking environment in London, the successful candidate will take charge of a large team of engineers and managers. Reporting to the National Account Director you will be responsible for the smooth operational delivery of hard services to a business critical and data centre heavy environment. You will build and maintain an effective working relationship with the client; managing expectations whilst also ensuring the delivery of a first-class service.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the contract runs smoothly from an operational perspective.
  • Providing engineering leadership, communication and support to your team to achieve greater efficiency and productivity.
  • Leading UPS shutdowns.
  • Developing sustainable relationships with the client; representing the company as a helpful and presentable figure head.
  • Ensuring all M&E PPM and reactive maintenance is delivered in line with the Service Level Agreements and to best practice.
  • The Person

    The right candidate will:

  • Have a strong and demonstrable operational background and a proven ability to provide leadership to large teams.
  • Qualifications relevant to/experience with High Voltage and Legionella
  • Be highly technically qualified; able to provide the team with technical advice and guidance with the aim of providing excellent service delivery.
  • Have a history of adding value to contracts through effective operational management whilst ensuring the client remains happy with the service.
  • Have experience in critical as well as non-critical environments; preferably electrically biased or with Data Centre familiarity.

    The position offers a basic salary from £65,000 to £75,000 and comes with a generous corporate package including a car or car allowance.
