Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

Salary up to £65,000 plus package and bonus scheme depending on skills and experience.

Based in Central London.

A specialist energy and district heating company are looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer.

The Company

This organisation has offices around the UK and specialise in energy and water efficiency. They have nearly 100 years experience and are one of the top companies for energy and water efficiency solutions for both the public and private sector.

The Opportunity

Experienced and well-travelled commercially certificated / gas qualified combustion manager / senior engineer, capable of commissioning new district heating systems and commercial boiler houses - energy centres. Must be capable of overseeing and troubleshooting large industrial commercial heating systems, provide technical backup and be willing to get stuck in when needed. Also need to provide knowledge and expertise of water distribution networks and infrastructure.

The Individual

We are looking for a M&E Engineer with proven experience of Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, System Designs and Renewable Technology. Gas qualified manager / senior engineer, with over 8 years running and managing district heating and large commercial boiler houses / energy centres. Need to specifically have social housing boiler plant experience and be able to get stuck in where needed.

You will be required to have the following:

Electrical or mechanical qualification to HND/HNC standard (or similar) At least 8 years experience Proven experience in managing direct teams and sub-contractors to deliver high standards. Extensive knowledge and experience of district heating and commercial boilers Able to manage commercial arrangements with suppliers and contractors Ability to understand AutoCAD drawings Provide feasibility reports Assist with specifications, plant room assessments and cost plans Provide knowledge and expertise of water distribution networks and infrastructure Ability to manage internal relationships and expectations H&S qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH)
