Business in the Community is the oldest and largest business-led membership organisation dedicated to responsible business. We were created nearly 40 years ago by HRH The Prince of Wales to champion responsible business.

We inspire, engage and challenge members and we mobilise that collective strength as a force for good in society to:

  • Create a skilled, inclusive workforce today and for the future
  • Build thriving communities in which to live and work
  • Innovate to repair and sustain our planet

Today, we have a vibrant membership of hundreds of businesses, large and small, connected by the conviction that their success is inextricably linked to society’s prosperity.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the smooth running of BITC offices on a day to day basis. They will work to create a safe, pleasant and productive work environment. They are responsible for maintaining suitable premises and services for BITC staff, ensuring these are cost effective, legally compliant, safe and environmentally sustainable.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual with experience in a similar role, with NEBOSH qualifications and a BIFM level 4 qualification or equivalent experience. Ideally with experience of lease negotiation and service charge, tendering and negotiating contracts. Experience managing contractor relationships across multiple sites would be advantageous.

This is a varied and dynamic role that requires you to be comfortable in dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will liaise with teams throughout the organisation, managing multiple sites. You will be part of an organisation which makes a real difference to business and communities across the UK.

This is an exciting time for Business in the Community, with huge opportunities. If you like a challenge and like the sound of what we do, please apply. Please see the full job description attached above.
