We want a world where plants and fungi are understood, valued and conserved – because our lives depend on them.
We use the power of our science and the rich diversity of our gardens and collections to provide knowledge, inspiration and understanding of why plants and fungi matter to everyone.
The Helpdesk Manager is responsible for the management of the Estates Helpdesk and administration of its database (CAFM).
You'll manage the Estates Helpdesk and permit office, supporting the Estates team with contractor management and permit to work functions.
This role supports the Estates Department in managing high level information emanating from the Helpdesk function and supports the department's maintenance strategy.
Our successful candidate will have significant experience of operating a computerised Help Desk function and possess excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse data and produce information and reports to support the Estates & Facilities managers.
We are seeking an individual to be the Departments main communication liaison with stakeholders on matters relating to Estates Projects and the built environment.
This includes care and protection for the collections and making sure buildings are fit for purpose, as well as prioritisation of allocated resources and management of contracted services to ensure the business can operate without loss of functions.
Salary will be £33,000 to £36,941 per annum depending on skills and experience. The actual salary will depend on the hours worked. We offer a fantastic range of benefits including a broad range of Learning and Development opportunities, with access to the Civil Service training curriculum, generous annual leave entitlement for new starters, family friendly policies, a choice of competitive pensions and flexible benefits scheme.
