The Role

I am searching for a Technical Contract Manager (Facilities and Building Services) for a site in the West End of London. This is a large, vibrant, modern site with a variety of engineering maintenance needs including; mechanical, electrical and fabric, as well as small and mid-sized projects. You will take charge of a team of multi-skilled engineers and will be tasked with shaping and motivating them to increase efficiency. As well as the operational delivery of the contract you will have responsibility for P&L - though prior experience is not strictly necessary.

Duties will include:

  • Ensuring that all PPM and reactive maintenance is completed and satisfies statutory and contractual compliance. Offering technical advice when required.
  • Responsibility for a P&L of approximately £1m - submitting regular reports to the Account Director.
  • Line management of a supervisor and a small team of engineers.
  • Management of 3rd party suppliers and sub-contractors; ensuring value is being delivered.
  • Being the point of escalation for all client queries and complaints - offering immediate assistance in a helpful manner.

    • The Person

    The right candidate will have:

  • 5 years' experience in building maintenance and a minimum of 2 years previous experience in a managerial position within building services.
  • An engineering background; an apprenticeship or recognised qualification.
  • Experience on a large static site (preferred).
  • A client facing and friendly attitude.
