My client is a leading manufacturer with plants and distribution centres located across the globe. Due to continued growth my client has created this new position which will focus primarily on updating the facilities infrastructure in the manufacturing plants from an electrical installation perspective.

Description

HV Specialist - Electrical Design Engineer - Automotive

You will primarily be responsible for the integration of risk mitigation and investment strategies across the EMEA region of high & low voltage electrical reticulation infrastructure to ensure reliability of service and support production processes.

By consultation with the plant facility maintenance teams you will support the maintenance and replacement strategies to help and improve the effectiveness of the Group's primary business activities.

You will be responsible for project management and design approval for Facility and Energy systems within the EMEA region including input into Long Range Plant Development - space provision process input and support. By analysing existing and planned electrical infrastructure installations in line with relevant national regulations and industry standards you will help to identify relevant measures to ensure compliance for the region.

Profile

HV Specialist - Electrical Design Engineer - Automotive

• Minimum BSc Electrical Engineering, preferably degree, from an accredited university preferably with a High Voltage / Heavy Current / power specialisation.

• Strong experience in a High Voltage technical engineering capacity (preferably manufacturing)

• Leadership experience leading a team in a specialist role (preferably within a network capacity)

• Strong background in project management, transformer design, facility and energy management, engineering or consulting experience in a corporate, complex business environment encompassing multiple facilities in a diverse geography.

• Experience in the planning and management of Facility Management systems and services inclusive of Energy management.

• Proactive and solid problem solving skills for complex systems using recognised processes (FMECA, 8D, Etc…)
