Hours: 37 per week

Location: Oxford - St Aldate's Chambers

 

The role

Are you looking for the next step in your health and safety career? Have you helped to make health and safety part of the culture of a company? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to work in the wonderful city of Oxford, managing a team that ensure good practice in health and safety across our property services function.  

Our ideal candidate would be NEBOSH qualified and evidence of continuing professional development is also essential. Experience in implementing health and safety and of managing a team in a way to ensure compliance and support improvements in the efficiency and productivity of a workforce is important. Our environment is commercial so your approach needs to contribute towards this. The role includes being the primary lead for implementing all the health and safety codes of practices and procedures and providing assurance in regards to the Council’s housing service.

Having excellent communication skills and a proactive approach is key to working in this broad exciting role   Including attending partnership meetings as well as helping to deliver coaching to staff that provide the property service for the Council is also an essential and rewarding part of the role.
