The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Property Compliance Manager, based in Scottish Fire and Rescue Headquarters, Cambuslang on a permanent basis. This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week however, applications from individuals seeking to work on a part time, job share or flexible working basis would be considered.

The successful candidate will be required to be responsible for developing and reviewing arrangements to ensure that Property Services meets with all statutory compliance requirements across the multiple sites of the services estate, to ensure service delivery contracts meet their contractual obligations, develop and manage departmental risk management strategies and ensure business continuity plans are in place and to monitor and report upon the performance of buildings and associated relevant construction projects, contracts and services.

Previous extensive experience in relevant regulatory frameworks and health and safety regulations applicable to the post including but not limited to Asbestos, Legionella, Electrical Safety, LOLER, Gas Safety, PUWER and CDM. Experience in the procurement and management of works and services. Experience in the development management and analysis and reporting of Key performance Indicators specific to property ownership use and construction. Applicants are required to be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and membership of a relevant professional body is desirable. Applicants should have BHOS P405 Management of Asbestos or similar qualification. Applicants should have significant project management experience and preferably be qualified in Prince2 or similar project management methodology.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review - in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
