Estate Manager
£34,973 per annum plus £2,500 London Weighting
William Booth College, Denmark Hill, London
Are you an Estate Manager looking for your next challenge?
Then look no further, we are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to be responsible for managing our Estates Staff team to provide both proactive and reactive maintenance to our landmark Grade 2 listed building, William Booth College based in Denmark Hill.
Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and opened in 1929, the building has undergone a number of refurbishments over the years, the most recent approx. 8 years ago which entailed the extensive refurbishment of offices, classrooms as well as residential housing and the addition of a large glass atrium behind the main administration block, which provides a fantastic meeting space for large groups.
This is an exciting time for the College with an existing project underway to create more residential flats and a retreat centre on site. In addition a new Salvation Army Territorial Headquarters Building is planned on the adjacent site.
In this role you will enable The Salvation Army to maintain compliance with relevant H&S regulations, such as water quality, fire, gas and electrical safety.
You will also serve as a single point of contact for contracted out services, such as window cleaning, building repairs, decoration, etc. as well as serving as the Planned Maintenance manager ensuring timely replacement of building fabric and facilities.
This is an interesting and varied role for someone with a desire to make a difference on the campus which has a great sense of community and a committed staff team.
Essential to this role is ensuring we meet high standards in our facilities and in our compliance and therefore you should have experience of managing a multi-disciplinary workforce and a range of contractors and enjoy working with complexity and new technologies.
If you’d like to hear more then please contact Gary Robb, Business Services Director, on 02073262740 for a chat.
Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK
