The Open University (OU) is the largest university in the UK by student population and is the only university to operate in all four nations of the UK. Estates are responsible for the management and development of the University’s premises in Milton Keynes and its National and Regional Centres.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised building maintenance surveyor to implement and manage contracts for maintenance of building fabric, structures, site infrastructure and grounds at the University’s premises. You will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of technical consultants and contractors with a recurring budget of £1 million.

A technical expert in the maintenance of building structures, you will be flexible, able to adapt to change, use initiative and solve problems creatively, with excellent contract management and interpersonal skills including communication, negotiating and influencing.

You will have demonstrable experience of delivering contract maintenance in a diverse organisation.

You will have a HND, degree or NVQ level 4 relevant to construction or surveying.
