Southend-On-Sea Borough Council are a unitary authority based in South Essex. You will be part of the team who are responsible for; Highways and Network Management including planned and special maintenance, delivery of major capital infrastructure programs, a customer focused parking provision and parking, road safety and traffic management functions. Southend Borough Council are a forward thinking organisation with stunning central offices with excellent transport links.
Your new role
Your new role will be a varied role working across the department reporting into Project Managers and/or Team Leaders. The main responsibilities will be to carry out master planning, feasibility studies, design, consultation plan and manage implementation and resources. You will be working on a range of projects across the borough.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you will need a proven track record of working in a similar position. You will need to have an engineering qualification, this can be Civil or Highway. You will also need to have an excellent understanding of engineering design requirements having worked with contract document preparation.
