If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, we have the role for you!

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Facilities Project Manager to join the National Fostering Agency Group, the market leader in Children’s Services.

The NFA Group partner closely with Local Authorities to provide high quality foster care and special needs education, creating the best possible opportunities and outcomes for children. Now with Acorn Care and Education apart of the NFA family, we provide education and care across 20 schools and 19 residential care homes nationally.

This is your chance to work for an organisation that cares about what it does: building incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people.

About the role

This new role will support ongoing operational, organisational change and growth within our Group. The NFA Group and Acorn Care and Education are investing in new schools, care homes and agencies as we maintain the quality and expand our current sites.

This role will be home based - primarily supporting services in the South and East of England but you may be required for wider national support which can include overnight stays.

The property team is a small professional team that provides strategic support across the Fostering, Education and Residential Business. They are committed to the quality of education and care we provide - with 96% of our services rated by Ofsted as good or outstanding. It starts with the environments you will help create!

The Facilities Project Manager will coordinate the delivery of new sites from inception to operational delivery. The role will lead the coordination of the business, central support functions and third party consultants/contractors. The successful candidate will lead on the acquisition of new properties and targeted property searches, to provide desktop analysis and undertake viewings to determine the feasibility of properties. You will support the business in the preparation of Business Cases and lead on the appointment, briefing and management of property consultants and contractors. We are looking for someone who will control project capital budgets working closely with the finance team and ensure the delivery of projects to time, quality and cost.

You will provide support to site based facilities teams across the business. This will include strategic advice across the wider property and facilities role as well as leading on technical capital projects. Ensuring the sites are safe, secure and well-presented is key so you will undertake audits and develop solutions to improve the effectiveness of facilities management.

Who we are looking for

You’ll be in your comfort zone liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, as well as third party agencies. The successful candidate will have experience working within a multi-site property/facilities role and working within a multi-disciplined client team.

We are looking someone who has a strong ability to work under their own initiative in order to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. You must be confident using Microsoft Office and have experience working in a project/process orientated role.
