Estates Manager £60,000, North London (School contract)

We are seeking an Estates Manager to work on behalf of a school covering the hard and soft services across the premises, being the face of the maintenance provider.

Responsible for:

· Estates and facilities staff as well as appointed contractors

· Cleaners and cleaning contractors throughout all 4 premises

Purpose of the role:

· Manage and oversee the quality and performance of all external facilities management contracts including: Premises, cleaning, site maintenance, grounds maintenance, security, catering, compliance and all sub-contractors.

· Lead on lettings across all sites, to facilitate income maximisation

· Project manage building design for all new sites and leases

Key Accountabilities:

· Line manage staff across all sites, delivering training, managing performance and modelling effective behaviour

· Set objectives for staff and sub-contractors

· Hold regular meetings between the client and support staff

· Manage efficiently all sites accommodation, buildings and grounds to ensure safety of staff, students and visitors

· Ensure Health and Safety procedures are all adhered to

· Manage the permit to work scheme for all contractors

· Project Manage refurbishment works

Qualifications and experience:

· Degree or equivalent in Building Services or Facilities Management

· Formal Health and Safety qualifications - NEBOSH

· Substantial Facilities Management experience running a multi-tenanted operation

· Experience of budget development and management

· Experience of developing asset registers

· Ideally membership of BIFM, CIOB, RICS and experience working within schools
