Facilities Manager

Location: Redhill, Surrey
Raven Housing Trust is a social business, investing in homes and lives across Surrey and Sussex to create and support flourishing communities. When you join us as Facilities Manager – with responsibility for both our Redhill and satellite office– you’ll be ensuring that facilities contracts offer value for money, that customers are satisfied, and that the organisation functions smoothly and remains equipped to pursue its goals.
As the focal point for all facilities management and the main contact for staff, internal tenants, suppliers and contractors, you’ll be accountable, with support, for the procurement, contract management and performance management of facility contracts. You will ensure that service delivery standards and performance KPIs are set and met, accurate records kept and value for money demonstrated. You shall also be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office environment to meet the needs of Raven’s staff
You’ll be expected to effectively plan and monitor all project and maintenance activity, to issue timely works orders, and to ensure both that contractors comply with H&S legislation and that Raven is compliant with all regulatory requirements. It will be your responsibility to check that agreed procedures, statutory requirements and established practices are adhered to.
The broad scope of your role will include project managing all office alterations and moves, including the introduction or departure of new or existing tenants. It will be necessary to attend certain works out of normal working hours, when required. You’ll also lead and manage a team of caretakers, overseeing both their performance and personal development.
To make the most of this opportunity, you’ll need a sound grasp of construction or maintenance and/or facilities management, including H&S. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to project manage works via contractors. High levels of commercial awareness and budget control are also essential. You’ll also share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.
When you join Raven, you’ll become an integral part of a 220+ team of talented, enthusiastic and innovative people who are committed to building communities. We don’t just invest in neighbourhoods, we invest in our people too. We offer competitive salaries and benefits including a great pension scheme, and relevant training and development.
