Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commercial strategy and processes to drive best value from the contracts and operate within investment plan allowances
- Strategic commercial interface with Directors to provide advice and recommendations to support continued business improvement
- Lead, shape and monitor all commercial activities, working alongside senior managers to ensure efficient delivery of investment plans through contracted operations, promote continuous improvement and ensure departments follow industry best practice
Develop and implement commercial strategies and processes across the business to drive best value from our contracts and promote effective strategies for dispute avoidance
- Influence negotiations with clients, customers and business associates
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead on the management and resolution of escalated complex contract claims / disputes through negotiation in an efficient, timely and professional manner. Quantify the cost of each claim taking account of contract terms, relevant circumstances and considerations
- Develop, implement and promote effective strategies for dispute avoidance
- Work closely with Legal Counsel to ensure that terms and conditions of contract provide an appropriate balance of commercial risk, and ensure that the balance is maintained throughout contract delivery through effective monitoring and controls
- Establish and maintain routines to ensure that contractors and internal staff are properly operating to the commercial terms of contracts

- Develop and implement commercial strategies and processes across the business to drive best value from contracts and promote effective strategies for dispute avoidance
