We are currently seeking applications for a Sustainable Travel & Environmental Data Manager within the Facilities Services based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range. Scotland’s world leading Climate Change legislation includes duties on public bodies to act on climate change and to lead the way in the transition to a low carbon society. In response to this legislation, the Scottish Government’s Climate Change Plan proposes to accelerate emissions reductions across the public sector and requires us to lead by example.

Through this plan, the Environmental and Travel Management team leads efforts to reduce the Scottish Government’s impact on the environment, to be more sustainable and to promote sustainable business travel.

Qualifications Required

For jobs in Band B & C you must hold a minimum of 3 Highers or equivalent.

Essential Criteria

1. Demonstrable knowledge of environmental management and sustainable travel and knowledge of climate change legislation and policy.

2. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

3. Attention to detail and experience in the collection and analysis of complex data.

4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build supportive and collaborative alliances with colleagues and stakeholders.
