Client Details

My client is a growing business with plenty of further development projects in the pipeline for the next 5 years.

They have a number of restaurant franchises across London and U.K. which will require attention from the Senior Facilities Manager to put in place various processes and plans.

The line manager for this role will be taken on further responsibility within the group and this will in turn create further opportunity to move up the ladder within the business

Description

FM Project Manager - franchised restaurant chain


Responsible for the management of all facilities, health & safety compliance of all equipment, plant and building fabric throughout the restaurants, head office and other group properties.

Monitor contractors and suppliers performance through key performance indicators and service level agreements.

Regularly tender and negotiate contracts and maintain a nationwide structure of contractors and suppliers.

Preparation of annual budgets, regular forecasts and accruals.

Management of Health & Safety regulations, identifying issues and checking compliance including legionella, fire safety and Asbestos register, evaluate affect to the business and set up procedures.

Report to senior management with confidence to influence upwards

Maintain a close relationship with the Senior Operations Management attending group District Managers meetings to understand and resolve restaurant management daily problems.

Attend District Manager meetings

Ensure all PPM are kept to schedule and invoices are process accurately, recorded against approved expenditure and monitoring of budgets.

Maintenance


To provide support for Restaurant Managers, District Managers and the Senior Operations Team on routine and emergency maintenance to ensure minimum disruption to trading.

Authorize capital & revenue spend to defined authority levels and budgets

Experience in M & E, HVAC refrigeration, plumbing, drainage, gas regulations, lifts and general building fabric.

Refurbishment and New Build Restaurants


Support the Construction Project Manager at regular site meetings with contractors and professional team.

Provide advice during the restaurant design process on the ordering of the equipment, facilities management affected by works and setting up new contracts on completion.

Profile

FM Project Manager - franchised restaurant chain

The selected candidate for this role will ideally already be working within the leisure or restaurant sector and be able to demonstrate a strong baseline knowledge of technical requirements.

Candidates will need to demonstrate as many of the attributes below to be successful for this position:


Professional qualifications in Facilities Maintenance to i.e. BIFM or IOSH certified.

Technical experience of M & E, HVAC and restaurant kitchen equipment.

Management of PPM and Health & Safety compliance.

Ability to interact effectively across all levels and influence senior management.

Strong negotiating skills.

Project Management experience would be an advantage
