Technical Operations Manager for Global Pharma Business


My client a global Pharmaceutical business based in Stevenage, are recruiting for a Technical Operations Manager on a permanent basis.


The Operations Manager will be accountable for the efficient operation of the building services and process safety systems across the Stevenage site including the liaison with client duty holders to ensure statutory and procedural compliance and site wide operational controls, setting the standard.
You will lead a team of Subject matter experts (SMEs) and Capital Project Coordinators (CPC) to develop a centre of engineering excellence that will ensure that the maintenance programs are continually improved, and the infrastructure and process systems are operated, repaired, changed and installed.
Your excellent communication, planning and coordination skills will ensure you liaise with delivery teams, planning, support, clients, customers, offsite specialist, project managers to balance priorities, add value and ultimately deliver service excellence to the business. The role is not to operationally deliver but to have independence oversight with the ability to provide cross function process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Engineering qualified in either Mechanical or Electrical and held SAP status Experience in steam, pressure, electrical distribution systems and process safety. Stakeholders management in a service provider industry is essential;
Project management and/or planning and coordination background is crucial. Experience of managing contracts and ensuring governance, writing and operating to processes and procedures Industry expertise such as Critical Environments and/or Pharma, valued and preferred. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic.
Ability to build and develop successful long-term relationships with clients, and other teams.
Ability to work independently under own initiative with minimal supervision.
Excellent task management skills, results orientated with a strong work ethic, and demonstrated attention to detail.
Must be flexible and friendly under pressure.
Excellent Problem-solving Skills.
Commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation.
